NPAC
Owner: Vaud-Villities Productions, Inc. Total Area: 50,000 S.F. Sites: Columbus, Ohio Vaud-Villities Productions, Inc., an amateur theatrical company, is staging its most spectacular show yet by transforming a 33,000 square foot abandoned cinema into much more than simply a place to call home. With the help of TRIAD Architects, Vaud-Villites is creating the NorthlandPARK Arts Center (NPAC), a state-of-the-art entertainment facility that will secure the group's financial well-being by serving as the epicenter for the performing arts in the Metro Columbus marketplace. Working closely with Vaud-Villities' Board of Trustees, TRIAD established a comprehensive, phased plan of development to take place over the next four years. At each phase, the theater company's financial rewards will increase exponentially. While most arts organizations compete for the decreasing offering of corporate and private support, Vaud-Villities is generating its own funding stream by leveraging its brand recognition through a strategic partnership with TRIAD. The Vaud-Villities name is now tied to something much bigger than itself - a performing arts career center, a mosh pit, a black box theatre, a rehearsal and performance venue for commercial, local and touring production companies NPAC. Another exciting feature planned is the incorporation of an outdoor digital light show. Choreographed to the music playing inside, this one-of-a-kind "bill board" façade will encompass the entire facility and provide passers-by a sneak preview of current productions. Scott Jones, Associate Director of Vaud-Villities, Productions, Inc., proclaimed: "TRIAD's plan is everything I imagined our new facility could become, and more." Related Articles: Columbus
